Blogging is fun to me. 

I enjoy doing blogging and at the same time earn money through my blog.

But I sometimes get disappointed by seeing few misconceptions people have about blogging.

I just thought of mentioning about them here and give some clarification on it.

So let me get started.

1. Blogging Is Easy

Many people think that blogging is very easy to do. But trust me, it takes a lot of research, time and dedication for doing this.

Writing one blog might be easy. But writing blogs on a consistent basis is very hard and requires lots of dedication.

It does not mean that blogging is not fun. It is fun and easy only when you like doing it.

I sometimes see people creating very quality blogs of 2500 to 5000 words on a consistent basis.

It is very difficult to do it unless they enjoy it.

So blogging is not easy. You enjoy it only when you love it.

2. Blogging Is A Waste Of Time

As people think that blogging is easy, there are also lots of people who feel like blogging is a waste of time.

But this is wrong. The time you keep in blogging is in fact the investment you are doing for your future success.

If done with dedication and consistency, blogging can earn you lots of money.

Along with the money you can even improve yourself as you will be doing continuous research on the topics you are writing.

Over the time people can even call you an expert in those niche on which you wrote about.

So blogging is never a waste of time.

3. Every Blog Post Should Be Perfect

I believe nothing is perfect in this world.

In the same way no blog post is perfect. You might always find something or the other missing in your blog.

But this should not stop you for writing a blog.

Be ready to take critics from your readers. Thank them for their valuable feedback and try to update your blog.

Learn from your mistakes.

Only then you can grow in your life.

My intention is not to tell that you should not be perfect in life. My intention is to tell that not to get worried about perfection and keep going, learn from your mistakes.

So every blog post you write need not be a great one. Just keep on writing and be ready to take any kind of feedback from your readers.

4. Publish and Pray

Gone are the days where you can just publish you your blog and wait for the traffic to come.

With the increase in reach of internet there is also an increase in the number of blogging sites coming day to day.

It means there is a heavy competition in most of the niches. It is not sufficient to get traffic to your website if you just publish your blog and do nothing else.

You need to keep promoting it.

Promote your blog through your email list, social media and if possible through ads.

So do not just publish your blog and pray for the traffic. Go and promote it.

5. Bloggers Just Promote Products To Make Money

I agree blogs promote products which earn some commissions to the blogger.

But it does not mean that bloggers just only promote products to make money and provide no value.

There might be few bloggers who does it.

But there are many bloggers who write with the intention to educate their readers and provide some value to their learning.

During this process they might promote products which might be very helpful for their readers and at the same time earn commission from it.

If he is a genuine blogger then he will definitely mention that he will be getting some commission from the purchase a reader makes from a product.

He might be doing it right there or might have mentioned in the disclosure.

So please make a note that bloggers promote products to make money. But other than that they provide a lots of value to their readers by sharing their expertise.

6. Blogging Can Make You Rich Overnight

I agree that there are some viral blogs which make money overnight.

But trust me, it happens very rare.

To earn money from blogging it sometimes takes years.

As I already mentioned, blogging is not easy and it is not a get rich quick scheme.

It takes time and a lot of dedication.

But trust me, if you go with consistency then you will definitely become rich through your blog at some point of time.

There are lots of blogs which earn thousands of dollars every Month. That too most of the income is passive.

But they took lots of time and did it with lots of dedication.

So remember blogging is not something which will make you rich overnight.
