How To Write a Blog When You Are Demotivated to Do

The main purpose of this blog site is to help people earn passive income. For that to happen, one of the best ways I kept telling to my readers is to start a blog.

Many have done it and are earning a decent income.

But there are few bloggers who still are struggling to get traffic to their blog and make use of that traffic to earn money.

It is because of this, they are getting demotivated and feel like giving up.

But it did not happen only with them. It generally happened with every successful blogger who are doing well now. So I would like to recommend not giving up.

Here are some tips which can help you write a blog even when you are demotivated:

  1. Do not write for money

Most of the bloggers start blogging just because they can earn money from it. But, this is not at all a good idea.

If you do not like writing and have started a blog just because you will earn money might not help, as you will not enjoy the journey over the time.

Start a blog only if you love or passionate about writing something related to your chosen niche.

It does not apply just to blogging, it applies to every other work you do.

So do not write for money. Forget about it and just enjoy what you write. Money will follow later.

2. Do not worry about your competitors

There are some bloggers who will get misunderstood by thinking that there are already blogs published on the topic they wanted to write, by their competitors and why should they again publish in their site.

But the fact is, everyday there are new users who are coming to internet in search of something and it might be your blog which can be found by them.

So do not worry about your competitors and just keep writing. Even if your blog is helpful to just 1 person then it is definitely the happiest moment for you.

3. Educate your reader before you sell something

There are few bloggers who try to sell products to their readers without educating them initially. This will not earn them money and will be demotivated.

But the issue is, for example, who will show interest to purchase the hosting services like Bluehost, if they are not aware on what are the benefits of starting a blog and how to start one by buying a hosting.

So do not chose more advanced topics assuming that your reader is already aware of all basics. Start with your basics first, educate customer and then slowly encourage him to purchase your affiliate products.

Tip: Having a content marketing plan which covers all the topics from basics to more advanced can be helpful.

4. Never compare with others life

You might have completely prepared to sit and write the blog for today, but suddenly your friend might call and update you about his trip to a hill station.

Then you might immediately lose the interest of writing a blog, might think on how your friend is enjoying there and get demotivated for sitting in the room alone to write a blog.

But the only thing you have to remember is, one day will come for you as well where you can enjoy a bigger trip than your friend, not with your personal savings but with the passive income from your blog.

So never compare your life with others. Every one goal is different and everyone time to enjoy is also different.

5. Keep yourself moving by taking small steps

One of the best way I recommend to get out of your demotivation and keep moving is by taking small steps.

For example, if you plan to write one 1000 words blog a week, you can divide it into the complete week and just write around 100 to 150 words a day.

It means take small steps each day and reach to the top over the time, here to finish your blog post of the week.

This will help you slowly to focus and write more. Over the time you might be publishing 2 blogs per week instead of one, as you will get the momentum.

Hence keep yourself moving, even if it is 1 step a day.

6. Look at the bloggers who inspire you

When you are demotivated to write a blog, please look at other bloggers success stories.

Learn on how they achieved their success, after a long struggle, look at their income reports and just analyse on how consistent are they in blogging.

This kind of activity will definitely make you inspired.

7. Research on various ways to promote your blog

One of the reason why bloggers get demotivated is when they do not see traffic coming to their website.

So try researching on various ways to promote your blog. Analyse your competitors blog promotion strategies and try to fill follow them, if you are already not doing.

8. Take a Break

Yes you read it right. Sometimes taking a break will help us relax.

You might be saturated with both your full-time job (not everyone) and at your blogging business. You might need energy to move on.

It is during this time taking a break can help. You can do any kind activity like eating your favorite ice-cream, sleeping, playing with your kid, going out for a movie etc.

Remember, we are humans and we cannot work continuously without breaks.

So take breaks, life need not be perfect every time and you might not follow your timetable always. That’s ok. Chill and relax.

Conclusion

Blogging is a long term journey and you cannot expect results very soon.

So do not get demotivated and lose your focus.

Keep moving, have patience, remember your ultimate goal and never, never, never Give Up!
