As a blogger or as an online business owner there might be many things for you to do like creating content, searching for new blog topics, moderating comments of already published blogs, promoting your blog, answering emails, writing guest post and getting images etc.
Managing all these things alone might be very difficult when your business is growing.
But at the same time you might not be having enough money to have an inhouse team.
So the best solution for this is to outsource.
You can outsource things like managing all your online marketing efforts and you can mainly focus on the important part of your business i.e content.
Wait, I am not telling that marketing is not important. What I mean to tell is that it can be outsourced rather than doing yourself for more effective results. So don’t take me wrong 🙂
When outsourcing your online business there are certain tips that I would like to give you for much better results.
So here they are:
- Look at the availability of the person to whom you outsourced
Yes, I agree that a US person outsourcing a project to person in India or philippines can help save lots of money. But at the same time you should keep in mind that the timings are very different.
So you have to make sure that particular person to whom you are outsourcing is available according to your convenient timings.
If not it might be very difficult to communicate with each other, so that the quality of output might be not good because of the lack of coordination between each other.
- Don’t just completely leave on them
I understand that the main reason why you are outsourcing is because of lack of time.
But it does not mean that you should completely leave your work on them.
You should continuously monitor the work they are doing and give the feedback from time to time.
If this is not happening and suppose you have outsourced your online marketing, then one day you will suddenly realize that all your online reputation is spoiled because of poor delivery of work.
- Don’t go for very low price
When you are outsourcing your work you should make sure that you are not doing it for a very low price.
A person who charges low will mostly give you low quality output. This might not be true with everyone, but at least in my experience I faced these kind of situations.
It does not mean that you have to pay very high and of course that was the main reason you are outsourcing rather than having an in house employee.
Instead pay a fair price to the person who is working for you, so that it can help in maintaining a very long term relationship.
It is because you will be happy for the quality of the output and the other person will be happy for the fair amount you are paying.
- Make it clear on what exactly to be done
Don’t just assume that the person whom you are outsourcing has clearly understood on what you want.
Don't just assume that the person whom you are outsourcing has clearly understood on what you want. Share on XTry to have a detailed email sent to him and then try discussing the same over phone or Skype.
The main intention of this was to make sure that the other person has clearly understood on what you want.
But instead don’t just send an email and assume that he understood everything.
A phone call might not be required always, but you just wanted to make sure the task is clear to him.
- Ask for his previous work samples
Unless you are outsourcing your work to someone who is not experienced at all and then later training him, you make sure that you are asking for some of the work samples he/she did previously.
This actually will give you an idea on whether the person has required expertise or not to do your job.
Conclusion
I am sure everyone in their journey of online business will reach to a certain point where they cannot handle all the work by themselves.
So follow the tips discussed above, outsource and make your business grow.
All the best.
